Hello ! I am Ana from Romania. I am a Marseille newcomer on the EVS (European Voluntary Service) position inside the Les Petits Débrouillards PACA. The reason I chose to enlarge my knowledge during this EVS experience, was because of an eager to go further with the wonderful, diverse and must be social involvement, as well as continuing the journey of self-development process for my future personal and professional life. My past experience as a volunteer in fields like arts and culture, non-formal education or environment, as much as being part of an European youth network (EYES- Empowering Youth in a European Society) and being an ARTivist in the Sustainable Fashion domain, pointed me the steps in choosing this EVS position.
First of all, I am totally honoured to be part of Les Petits Débrouillards team, as they are the most well-known French Association in dealing with science and non-formal education, spread all over Europe and beyond. It is the most pleasant feeling to hear from most people I talk to : ‘Oh, yes, of course we know about Les Petits Débrouillards !’
My project is called Young Europeans and Ecological Transition, a project that offers a constructive dialogue between the EYES force and the 28 years of Les Petits Débrouillards most significant experience and knowledge gathering. Both have the same goal : to work on youth participation to a decision making process and getting people aware of the world’s ecological transition and its impact.
This EVS position offers me the chance of experience one year of : physical and mental mobility, intercultural exchange, diversity, methods of self development and last but not least, Marseille- Provence 2013 Capitale Européenne de la Culture.
